Coach’s Call

“…Then the whole attitude of our life is one of obedience to Him. If our Lord insisted on our obedience, He would simply become a taskmaster and cease to have any real authority. He never insists on obedience, but when we truly see Him we will instantly obey Him. Then He is easily Lord of our life, and we live in adoration of Him from morning till night. The level of my growth in grace is revealed by the way I look at obedience. We should have a much higher view of the word obedience, rescuing it from the mire of the world.”

Coach’s Call is a ministry that seeks to help those involved in athletics, from the front office to the field, glorify God and experience His joy through sport.  It is for all of us to see our actions as the pursuit of success in sport, and the mentoring of athletes as acts of worship to the Creator.  As Lewis writes in Mere Christianity, “In that way, to become holy is rather like joining a secret society. To put it at the very lowest, it must be great fun.”

John Levis is the founder of Coach’s Call and would love to connect and have a conversation anytime about all that God is doing in sport.  You can find the Coach’s Call website at www.coachscall.org  or email John at john@coachscall.org
