The mission of Uncommon Sports Group is to develop future leaders of the college and pro sport industry. USG recognizes there are unique pressures and temptations associated with a career in professional and collegiate athletics. This is why Uncommon Sports Group is committed to raising up men & women who are able to navigate these challenges, and use the platform of sport for God’s glory. The number one way USG supports future leaders of the college and pro sports industry is through the USG Academy, designed to help young men & women navigate a career in college and pro sports. There are new groups launching throughout the year, allowing any student manager, intern, graduate assistant or other future leader of sport from anywhere in the country to complete the academy during a time that best aligns with the seasonality of their sport and respective responsibilities. The Christians Working in Sports (CWS) Conference was created to connect, encourage, and equip the body of Christ working throughout college and professional sports. CWS will be held in Minneapolis, MN June 23rd-24th, and headlined by Jonathan Isaac of the Orlando Magic, alongside several other leaders throughout all areas of college and professional sports. While CWS is focused on individuals working full-time in college and pro sports, CWS will also bring together leaders and staff from 10+ different sports ministries active throughout various areas of college and pro sports.

The 3 simple goals for each CWS attendee are:

1) Get Connected. Build relationships with other Christians working throughout college and pro sports.

2) Be Encouraged. Be reminded of how great God is, and hear testimonies of how others are glorifying him throughout college and pro sports.

3) Leave Equipped. Learn how to live out your faith as a Christ follower in college and pro sports.
