Run in Such a Way

Biblical metaphors about running abound. Dr. Sabrina Little knows all of them. Indeed, she grew up with a Bible verse written on her bedroom wall.

She also knows a lot about Aristotle and Aquinas and virtue ethics. That’s why she wrote The Examined Run: Why Good People Make Better Runners.

Sabrina is a philosopher, a professor of Leadership and American Studies at Christopher Newport University, and is a 5-time US National Champion ultra-distance runner. She’s also a keynote speaker at the 4th Global Congress on Sport and Christianity this summer at Baylor.

Sabrina running. Isn’t it obvious that virtue is always more evident when there’s mud on one’s elbows and knees!
